DiepChat – diep.chat
1. Purpose and Scope
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the access to and use of the DiepChat service, available through the website diep.chat (the “Service”).
DiepChat is a non-profit project, provided free of charge, whose purpose is to offer a tool enabling the addition of a chat functionality through an extension, application, or userscript, intended for use alongside the website diep.io.
By accessing or using the Service, the user acknowledges having read, understood, and unconditionally accepted these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
The Service allows users to:
- Download and use a software tool (extension, application, or userscript),
- Access a chat system made available to DiepChat users,
- Communicate with other users in accordance with these Terms.
The Service is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability, universal compatibility, or absence of errors.
3. No Affiliation Disclaimer
DiepChat is an independent project, developed and maintained autonomously.
The Service is not operated, endorsed, sponsored, approved, or officially associated with the owners, developers, publishers, or rights holders of diep.io, or with any related entity.
Any reference to diep.io is made solely for descriptive and compatibility purposes and shall not be interpreted as implying any partnership, affiliation, or authorization.
4. Access and Authorized Use
4.1 Permitted Use
- Download the DiepChat tool,
- Install and use it strictly for its intended purpose,
- Access the chat and interact with other users in compliance with these Terms.
4.2 Strict Prohibited Uses
Users are strictly prohibited, without exception, from:
- Modifying, adapting, altering, or creating derivative works from the Service or any of its components,
- Extracting, decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or attempting to access the source code, internal logic, algorithms, or functions of the Service,
- Copying, reproducing, redistributing, selling, sublicensing, renting, or making available the Service or any part thereof,
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any technical limitation, protection, or safeguard implemented within the Service,
- Using the Service for any purpose other than its explicitly intended use,
- Using the Service for commercial, profit-driven, or advertising purposes, whether directly or indirectly.
Any attempt, partial or complete, to engage in such prohibited activities shall constitute a violation of these Terms.
4.3 Extension / Tool Usage Conditions
When using the DiepChat tool (extension, application, or userscript), users must comply with the following conditions:
- Use the tool only to enable and use the DiepChat chat feature, and not to gain gameplay advantages or automate gameplay actions on diep.io.
- Do not use the tool to interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to compromise the Service, its infrastructure, or other users.
- Do not use the tool to bypass bans, restrictions, rate limits, or any enforcement measures applied by DiepChat.
- You remain responsible for your device, your browser environment, and any third-party software you install alongside the tool.
- If you choose to install the tool from a third-party source or modified build, you do so at your own risk; DiepChat may refuse support for unofficial distributions.
5. User Conduct in the Chat
Users must behave respectfully and responsibly when using the chat feature.
The following content is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to:
- Insults, abusive, defamatory, or degrading language,
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, or targeted abuse,
- Sexual, obscene, or explicit content,
- Racist, discriminatory, hateful, or violence-inciting statements,
- Any unlawful or morally offensive content,
- Spam, unsolicited advertising, or disruptive behavior.
6. Moderation and Enforcement
The DiepChat team reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- Moderate, edit, hide, or delete any message,
- Temporarily restrict a user's access to the chat,
- Permanently ban a user from the chat or the Service,
- Enforce these measures without prior notice or obligation to provide justification.
No compensation, refund, or appeal may be claimed as a result of such actions.
7. Limitation of Liability
Given the non-profit and free nature of the Service:
- DiepChat does not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted,
- Users access and use the Service at their own risk,
- DiepChat shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service,
- Users remain solely responsible for the content they publish or transmit via the chat.
8. Intellectual Property
All elements of the Service, including but not limited to software, scripts, interfaces, names, logos, text, and structure, are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No ownership rights, licenses, or permissions are granted to users other than a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service strictly in accordance with these Terms.
9. Changes to the Service and the Terms
DiepChat reserves the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time,
- Update or amend these Terms at its discretion.
Revised Terms shall become effective upon publication. Users are responsible for reviewing them regularly.
10. Termination
DiepChat may terminate or suspend a user's access to the Service at any time, particularly in the event of a breach of these Terms.
Provisions that by their nature are intended to survive termination, including liability limitations and intellectual property clauses, shall remain in effect.
11. Governing Principles and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are drafted with an international scope.
Unless otherwise required by mandatory law, any dispute arising from the Service shall be governed by general legal principles and, where possible, resolved amicably.
